Dr Hamza Masood is a specialist prosthodontist and the Principal Dentist at CBD Dental Wollongong. He holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants), and a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics), and is a Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, MRACDS (Pros). After passing the Australian Dental Council examinations in 2015, he gained registration as a general dentist. He then completed postgraduate training in Oral Implants at the University of Sydney, followed by specialist training in Prosthodontics at the University of Sydney, graduating with distinction. Originally from Pakistan, Dr Masood has served the Illawarra community for the past decade and is among the few clinicians in the region providing specialist prosthodontic services. He has published research in peer-reviewed journals, lectures at national and international meetings, and is affiliated with the University of Sydney, where he regularly teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Dr Masood’s interests span prosthodontics, implant dentistry and aesthetics. He provides comprehensive rehabilitation – restoring function and creating natural, harmonious smiles with meticulous attention to tooth form, colour, texture and gingival contours. He practises evidence-based, team-oriented care and uses contemporary digital workflows (guided surgery, CAD/CAM ceramics and digital smile design) for precision and predictability. Calm, gentle and patient-centred, he listens, explains options clearly and aims to make treatment comfortable, especially for anxious patients. Prosthodontics, particularly when integrated with implants, is central to modern dentistry: it restores chewing efficiency and confidence, stabilises the bite to protect remaining teeth, preserves jawbone through functional loading and delivers durable, lifelike solutions – from single teeth to full-arch rehabilitation.

Outside dentistry, Dr Masood enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He is an avid traveller, a film enthusiast, and keeps up to date with the dental literature. He also enjoys playing and following sport – particularly cricket, football, squash, and tennis. He looks forward to being part of each patient’s dental journey.
